What customers say?

“ Best chef ever! Never tasted sushi that fabulous in my entire life: it really is an unique experience you shouldn’t miss out on! ”

- Robin Lübbing -

“ Great place, very cosy. Food was delicious, and service was amazing. Highly recommended if you're into asian food ”

- Christian Bek Fricke -

“ Our visit to AKAITEN was special, and we tried to sample a variety of dishes from their menu. We were very surprised and delighted by the freshness and delicious taste. Highly recommended! Just be prepared to wait a bit, as the chef works alone in the open kitchen. P.S. I don't even want to imagine how long it takes when the restaurant is full. Nevertheless, please keep up the good work and maintain the quality. ”

- PHIL Bierbrauer -

“ This restaurant was okay but a bit overpriced, perhaps because it's located in a hotel. Everything was good and fresh. The combination of the wagyu beef dish and the sauce wasn't a good match. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was too long. We waited almost an hour for 10 nigiri, and one wagyu is too long (but there was only one chef present). ”

“ A culinary oasis with a warm and cozy atmosphere The warm and cozy atmosphere creates a perfect place to relax and enjoy. The understated, stylish interior with pleasant lighting invites you to leave everyday life behind. The food was a true revelation! Every bite was a work of art, carefully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce we ordered was an absolute culinary delight in its simplicity; even the rice served with it was the best rice we've ever eaten. The Wagyu flank steak in teriyaki sauce – tender, perfectly cooked, and balanced with harmonious flavors – was an absolute delight. The service deserves further praise. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming, without being intrusive. Every request was met with a smile. The waitresses managed to create a personal and pleasant atmosphere that rounded off the overall experience. This restaurant is not just a place to eat, but a place to relax and enjoy. I can recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality cuisine and excellent service. ”

- Pascal Koernig -

“ Wow, just wow. The ambiance is amazing, pretty, and classy. There's nothing more to say, and it's just around the corner. From the service to the sushi, everything was truly outstanding, plus the chef was truly personable. We'll be back it was really nice, and we felt very comfortable. ”

“ One of the best sushi restaurants I know. Very modern ambience! I often go to Hamburg and Berlin but to find something like this in a small town in East Westphalia exceeded my expectations... Of course, in one of the best hotels in the area I expect a solid, well-run restaurant. But what I was offered here was outstanding! Friendly staff even if you are not staying at the hotel. Super accommodating hosts who give you the impression that they are doing everything they can to ensure you have a fantastic evening. The Japanese master chef, who has previously worked successfully in London, among other places, meticulously prepares the fresh dishes à la minute in front of the guests. Fantastic. But it is not only the fish that is freshly filleted by the master beforehand, there is also a lacquered rib that is second to none. As a liquid accompaniment I can only recommend sake to round off the evening. A successful evening. Everyone should go there if you are in Bad Salzuflen. It is worth it. ”

“ The Akaiten Japanese Restaurant is located in the Lippischer Hof hotel. Stepping onto the street feels like entering another world. And entering the hotel itself is another world entirely. Everything is decorated with meticulous attention to detail. The food was also excellent, freshly prepared by sushi chefs in the open kitchen. ”
